Brownfields Program Coordinator

Introduction
The Kuskokwim River Watershed Council's Mission is to protect and maintain traditional subsistence life for the residents of the Kuskokwim through clean air, water and land. We are currently looking for an adventurous, creative, committed and enthusiastic individual, passionate about the environment and the people. The position's immediate supervisor is the Executive Director.
Duties
- Coordinate the Brownfields program.
- Perform surveys and inventory of contaminated sites along the Kuskokwim.
- Organize trainings.
- Assist Executive Director with mapping and GIS.
- Work with Executive Director on seeking additional funding opportunities.
- Travel along river (boat, snow machine and air) for survey, outreach and educational activities.
Minimum Job Qualifications
BS in natural sciences, engineering or a related field.
Special Requirements
Experience with GPS and GIS. Demonstrated ability to work in a team. Demonstrated computer proficiency. Experience with Word, Excel, Power Point and ArcView. Excellent communication, organizational and writing skills. Detail oriented. Grant writing experience is a plus. Great ability and willingness to learn. Knowledge of travel on river year round, boat and snow machine mechanics a plus. Strong integrity and work ethics.
Compensation
Salary depends on experience.
