Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Landscape Architect / Planner – Ecology and Environment, Inc. is a fully integrated environmental consulting firm whose underlying philosophy is its worldwide commitment to supporting sustainable development through responsible environmental stewardship. We are seeking a Senior-level Landscape Architect / Planner for our Houston, TX office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Project management and client interface
• Preparing NEPA documents and overseeing NEPA process
• Project Permitting
• Agency consultation
• Conducting related community involvement programs
REQUIREMENTS:
• BS / MS degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, or related field
• 5 years of experience in land, urban, and regional design and planning with an emphasis on sustainability and green infrastructure, including one or more of the following focus areas:
o Landscape ecology and ecosystem restoration;
o Climate change / energy adaptation planning;
o Land use planning and growth management (including Smart Growth and New Urbanism practices and applications);
o NEPA analysis and documentation;
o Visual resource assessment, watershed management planning;
o Energy development siting; or
o DOD facilities planning and AICUZ studies.
• Working knowledge of specific software programs, such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, ESRI GIS software applications, Microsoft Office Suite and Project
• Capable of working independently and with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
