The Environmental Education Coordinator will provide environmental education services for the Mid-Columbia River National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) complex.

The Mid-Columbia River NWR complex consists of 8 NWRs throughout Washington. Efforts will be concentrated at Columbia NWR and at the new Environmental Education Center at McNary NWR. The McNary NWR encompasses over 15,000 acres of backwater sloughs, shrub-steppe uplands, irrigated farmlands, river islands, delta mudflats, and riparian areas.

Responsibilities:

Key goals of the Environmental Educator are to oversee, coordinate and teach an environmental education program for the Columbia NWR and the annual Sandhill Crane Festival, assist with program development and operation of the new Environmental Education Center at McNary NWR and provide community outreach at special environmental education events.
