The NH Coastal Protection Partnership (“NH Coast”), a Portsmouth-based non-profit organization, is looking for energetic, motivated people NOW to help the organization fundraise by selling memberships and “nitrogen offset credits” to the public under one of its new programs. NH Coast is “dedicated to combining sound science with collaboration, education and advocacy to protect the natural resources of the coastal watershed and effect long-term visible change.”
To qualify for the position,” NH Coast is requesting resumes accompanied by a very short letter of interest. No environmental experience is necessary. Primarily, the organization is looking for upbeat, creative individuals who are willing to learn about issues affecting NH’s coastal resources and help out a local non-profit.
The pay for this position is 10% of each membership sold by the individual; therefore, it is a commission-based position. Our public membership rates range from $20 to $2,000. An individual in this position could potentially make anywhere between $8- $20 per hour with the possibility to earn much more. The individual chosen for the position will be paid on a bi-weekly basis.
The person chosen for the position(s) will be able to act relatively independently. However, they will be expected, to a degree, to make “on-the-ground” solicitations for membership donations. This individual will also be invited to participate in discussions and events that NH Coast holds. There will also be opportunities for future advancement within the organization.
