Associate Safety and Environmental Engineer

Duties
- Evaluate and assist Site safety and environmental regulatory compliance activities.
- Develop specifications to ensure compliance with new and existing safety and environmental regulatory requirements.
- Monitor hazardous materials usage, storage and disposal.
- Monitor hazardous waste storage and disposal.
- Perform industrial hygiene and environmental sampling.
- Conduct accident/illness investigations.
- Perform environmental inspections of chemical/gas storage areas, waste storage areas, waste treatment facilities, etc.
- Inspect equipment and review process specifications for compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
- Devise modifications to new and existing equipment and processes to improve safety and environmental conditions.
- Monitor and assist safety and environmental consultants with compliance activities.
- Develop and conduct Safety and Environmental training.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or Industrial Hygiene, or the equivalent in education and directly related experience.
- 0-2 years experience as S and E Engineer.
- Internship in Safety/Environmental Engineer function within manufacturing or Semiconductor industry preferred.
- Well-developed problem solving, communication, troubleshooting, and computer skills. Must be able to effectively work independently and as a team member.
