More than 400 clients worldwide use KLD products and services to integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria into their investment decisions. KLD's clients are primarily institutional investors and money managers.
Position Overview:
The advertised position is located within the Consulting Services department and reports to the Managing Director of Consulting Services. The Consulting Services Department provides customized research to clients for screening, engagement, compliance and asset gathering.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct customized social, environmental, and governance (ESG) research on companies. Specific areas of focus will include, but will not be limited to, emerging market countries, animal welfare practices, and faith-based issues.
- Collaborate with other team members in completing assigned research projects.
- Communicate with clients and others in the field of social investing as required.
- May be requested to supervise interns on various projects.
Client confidentiality dictates a need for discretion and high personal ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Ability to collect, review and summarize data in a specific format to meet client needs
- Clear and concise writing skills
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines
- Strong academic track record with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts
- An interest in, and familiarity with, socially responsible investing (SRI) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) issues is preferred
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to excel
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
