PROGRAM DIRECTOR POSITION AVAILABLE
Camp Highland Outdoor Science School is an innovative residential grade school science program in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, 25 miles from Palm Springs and 50 miles from Joshua Tree National Park. Fifth and Sixth grade classes from all over Southern California come and spend a week with us learning about nature, science, and each other.
The ultimate goal is to become the premier Outdoor Education Program in California. We are looking for a Program Director who is qualified and experienced and who shares this same desire, is passionate and dedicated to their work and can help us make this goal a reality.

WARNING: As great as Camp Highland is, being a Program Director is not an easy job. The responsibility of being in charge of a staff and also students is a challenging experience, and you must have stamina and a positive attitude to effectively guide and direct both. Our program is forward thinking, flexible and dynamic and Camp Highland needs a Program Director with similar traits. You must be a tolerant individual who reacts to situations and people positively.
MIN QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree
2) 2 years working experience in Outdoor Education Program
3) First Aid and CPR certified
4) Pass fingerprint background check
BENEFITS:
1) Salary: $25,000 - $30,000/year plus bonuses
2) Medical/Dental Insurance 50/50 1st year, 80/20 2nd yr,
3) 4 weeks paid vacation
4) Housing provided year round
5) Meals provided during program only. Staff kitchen available to use on non program days to prepare and store food
